The Merimbula RSL Club is looking for new people to join our team in our busy coffee shop and restaurant areas.

BARISTA

Permanent part-time & casual

We are looking for permanent part-time and casual coffee shop staff who have the following skills and experience:

  • Barista experience and an appreciation of great coffee
  • A bubbly and friendly personality
  • Reliable and able to work days, nights and weekends
  • The ability to work well as part of a team, and in a fast-paced environment

RESTAURANT WAIT STAFF

Casual

The Merimbula RSL Club Coral Sea Restaurant is a busy and popular dining venue for lunch and dinner and is looking for new casual wait staff to join the team. You will be guaranteed to get your step count up during your shifts!

Looking after our valued members and guests in the restaurant requires the following skills and experience:

  • A bubbly and friendly personality
  • Reliable and able to work days, nights and weekends
  • The ability to work well as part of a team, and in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous waitressing experience is desirable but not essential

CHEF/COOK

Full-time
Salary package $70,000-$80,000 pa

We are seeking a Chef/Cook to join our large kitchen team in our busy commercial kitchen on the Far South Coast of NSW in Merimbula. This position is full-time 5-day/38 hours per week and overtime if required. Merimbula is a popular tourist destination between Sydney and Melbourne and only two and half hours from Canberra. The Merimbula RSL Club offers modern Western and Asian Cuisine, functions and conference catering as well as a busy coffee shop.

If you have previous experience in a similar role, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, excellent quality food production and service and are able to effectively work under pressure, this position is for you! We are looking for someone to commit for the long-term who has a friendly and a positive attitude, is reliable and can work well as part of a team.

The successful candidate requires the following skills and experience:

  • Diploma in Commercial Cookery or three years of relevant experience
  • Ability to prepare all ingredients/menu meals and adhere to service times with consistency and quality
  • Maintain high standards at all times
  • Efficiently manage stock levels and order stock
  • Follow HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulations
  • The ability to manage and supervise other staff involved in food preparation

This position also includes general kitchen duties and input into menu planning. Experience in pan work and sauces in modern Western and/or Mediterranean cuisine would be an advantage.

  • Understand and be able to follow hygiene and safety procedures
  • Have a commitment to providing excellence in food
  • Have the ability to work well as part of a team
