Anzac Day … a day of remembrance
Returning First World War Diggers formed the Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL) in 1916 to support returned service men and women and their families. The RSL has 1500 Sub Branches Australia wide and 240,000 members.
On Anzac Day, April 25, families, schools and sporting and community groups gather by the sea, at memorials and in RSL Clubs around the Sapphire Coast. Merimbula RSL Sub Branch organises activities each year.
ANZAC Day 2020
Will be different.
On ANZAC Day Merimbula RSL Sub Branch will honour and remember in different ways the service men and women who have served and sacrificed.
You can too.
At 6am tune into 2EC for The Last Post, and #lightupthedawn by standing at the end of your driveway, on your balcony or in your living room.
While we may be apart this ANZAC Day, we can still be together in spirit.
