June 27, 2021

Good morning to the Merimbula RSL family – members, guests and staff. We understand that everyone will be feeling a bit anxious about the latest NSW Government COVID restrictions for the whole of NSW which are in effect until July 9. We would like to reassure you that the Merimbula RSL Club is a COVIDSafe venue and will continue to welcome you, with a few changes.

–       All front of house staff and visitors need to wear masks inside the club. As logic would suggest, you remove your masks when you are eating and drinking, then put them back on once you’re finished.

–      You must remain seated while in the club, restrictions don’t allow for standing while socialising.

–       We will not have our Members Draws on Sunday and Wednesday nights during the restriction period.

–       We will not have our Wednesday, Friday and Sunday night raffles during the restriction period.

–       We must follow the one person per 4 square metre rule so you will notice signs on chairs and tables around the club that are unable to be used during restrictions.

–      Thursday Marine Rescue Bingo will not run during the current restriction period.

–      Tuesday RSL Bingo and Sunday Legacy Bingo, Thursday night Trivia and Tuesday night Poker will continue as we have the space to meet the required one person per 4 square metre rule

–      Live entertainment will continue on Saturday nights, but you must remain seated as restrictions do not allow dancing.

Our number one priority during COVID has been on the health and wellbeing of our staff, members and guests, and we would like to thank you all for your continued co-operation and care to use our hand sanitiser stations and QR Code check-ins, and to stay at home if you’re feeling unwell.

We will get through this, together.

Best regards

Michael Mutsch
Secretary Manager

As many people would be aware, NSW Health has introduced new restrictions starting from today and there is one change to our dinner booking group size as a result.

We are now only able to take group bookings to a maximum of 10 people (it has been 20 people for the past few weeks).

We appreciate your patience and understanding when you call to make a group dinner booking. Also, if you are coming in for lunch as a group you don’t need to book, but you will only be able to come in a group of 10.

Thanks again to all your messages of support this week.  We are blessed to live in such an amazing community

Great news! Open for business Take 2!

Merimbula RSL Club will reopen at 10am tomorrow (Friday July 17).

We have the majority of coronavirus test results back from staff and they have all been negative. While we wait for the results for the remaining staff there might be a few menu changes in the short-term but apart from that it will be back to business as usual, 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm.

It goes without saying that we will be operating under NSW Health COVID-19 guidelines which include extra measures that we have been following since we first re-opened in June.

Thanks again to all your messages of support this week. We are blessed to live in such an amazing community
